According to Luminate, an entertainment industry data and analytics company, Adele’s album “25” stands out as the sole entry in the top 10 with multiple successful weeks of album equivalent units sold.

The reference to May 9 alludes to her upcoming Eras Tour concert in Paris, France, where fans anticipate she will debut tracks from her latest album.
Vinyl’s Resurgence and Promotional Partnerships
From “Fortnight” to “The Manuscript,” Swift has actively promoted her latest album through various partnerships, dominating headlines and social media platforms. Spotify even erected a library pop-up in Los Angeles filled with Easter eggs. Swift’s achievement of reaching a billion streams on the platform in just five days marks a historic milestone. Additionally, Apple Music engaged fans with a game where they could search lyrics for a secret code leading to the first line of “How Did It End?”: “We hereby conduct this post mortem.” The streaming service tweeted about the album breaking the record for the biggest pop album of all time by first-day streams.
In terms of vinyl sales, Swift sold a staggering 859,000 copies, surpassing her previous record of 693,000 for “1989 (Taylor’s Version).” Notably, offering four vinyl variants contributed to this historic achievement.
Swift’s Record-Breaking Streak
Swift kicked off 2024 by surpassing the King of Rock and Roll for the solo artist with the most weeks atop the Billboard 200 albums chart. Billboard announced on New Year’s Eve that “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” maintained its stronghold at number one, allowing Swift to exceed Elvis Presley’s 67-week record with 68 weeks.
