In Madrid, Taylor Swift treated her fans to two nights of her custom, acoustic Eras Tour set, featuring more unique mashups.
Addressing the audience on night one with her guitar in hand, Swift expressed her aim to bring joy: “I try to think of things that will make you happy so let’s see how I did.” She seamlessly combined “Sparks Fly” from “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” with “I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)” from “The Tortured Poets Department.”
Transitioning to the piano, she melded “I Look in People’s Windows” from “The Tortured Poets Department” with “Snow on the Beach” from “Midnights,” prompting an uproarious scream from the crowd when she began the track featuring Lana Del Rey. Swift interjected, “It’s just me, guys,” amidst the excitement.
Among the audience were some of Swift’s friends, including actress Blake Lively and the Haim sisters, with whom Swift has previously collaborated and toured, watching from the VIP area on the floor.
